1. More sun exposure. You will absorb more vitamin D, and even in winter you will receive more sun exposure than normal.
2. Because of more sun exposure, you save on heating your home all year round.
3. Catching rain water, and adding solar panels will almost eliminate your utility bills.
4. Your home is safe from damage and pest. The roof of your home will last longer. If you live where there is snow, the snow won’t touch your home. The heat coming from the greenhouse will probably melt the snow in the surrounding area. That may mean less shoveling.
5. Grow vegetables and plants all year round. Also spend more time outside during the cold seasons. The surrounding greenhouse allows you to be outside during storms or blizzards.
6. May increase the value of your home if you decide to sell. The unique quality may attract more buyers.
I’ve always wanted to do something like this . Where I live it’s a bit too small , but when I was a kid , my family had iguanas, and we wanted to do something like this for them .

They’re really nice animals . Mine were super friendly and were mostly herbivorous. They ate an occasional meal worm but they loved clover , zucchini , and carrots , and strawberries . My Dad brought them from Florida as a gift for my 8th birthday lol Really shocked my Mom who was kind of scared of reptiles . But she grew to really them as they weren’t too much different than say rabbits lol just scaley.

Yea they are. People are scared of them, but they’re not that bad.

They’re really nice . I sadly wasn’t able to keep mine because we moved pretty far and were afraid for travel with them for their safety, but I follow a ton of iguana IG accounts .

This is fascinating. As a garden lover myself, I can’t believe I have never seen this. I live in Arizona, so kinda defeat the purpose. When we lived in Washington I would have loved it. Nice post.

I know I’m in Michigan, and I’ve never seen a house like this before here. I’ve been obsessed with them ever since I discovered them a couple years ago.
